Last weekend I attended the N.Y.C. Sakura Matsuri 2012. I have been going to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens since I was a baby. (True facts!) My parents made a tradition with all the siblings to take us on easter. The little tradition was to take a picture of usnext to the koi ponds. But I have been attending the Sakura Matsuri since 2003. Sometimes I go in cosplay sometimes I make a kimono.

For 3 years now they have been having a Cosplay Fashion Show. I got picked to be in it for the 3rd time in a row. I decided to wear my Rose Bride Utena dress. Which I thought would be appropriate for the gardens. Too bad though that the cherry blossoms died... My group got there late so I didnt get a real chance to hang out before I went on stage.

In the dressing room we got to take our time into changing into our outfits. I will say that it is is crazy to see people transform from normal into crazy costumes! I started with my costumes now wearing fake nails. I admit I am a nail bitter and my nails always look like crap and one of the things I am never happy about when I see my photos.

This year was the least stressful of the fashion show. I did get to eat some yummy asian snacks and drink sake while I was there. But the experience would have been even better if we got there earlier. (Someone delayed us in going and the kid didnt even show up...)

Next event I will be hitting up is the Steampunk Worlds Fair!

So yesterday I attended the D.C. Sakura Matsuri! This is my third time coming to the festival and my second time involved in the Cosplay Fashion Show. This year they changed it up a little bit that you can enter just as a walk on or enter there contest. Prizes were tickets to Anime USA for this year. A lot more models this year but seems like from the amount of people sounding interested and that signed up, some dropped out last minute. A good amount of friends and people I know showed up this time around. Sadly my group got there right when were suppose to all get together. So didnt have much time to explore. I changed into my Utena Tenjou duelist outfit. Funny enough there was also another Utena cosplay one of the shadow girls from the movie! <3

After the fashion show I ripped off my fake nails and costume and changed into normal clothes. Me and my buddy Greg became fatties and ate ALL THE ASIAN FOOD. Foods that I only seen photos of or in animes that I actually got to eat and they were so good! One of my favorite parts for attending this festival. It is much more authentic then the one in N.Y.C. even though that one has its good parts too.

Speaking of the next event I will be hitting up IS the N.Y.C. Sakura Matsuri. They havent gotten back if I will be in the cosplay fashion show. But hopefully I get work back of what is happening with that. That place does have some great photo spots. I am kind of sad that a lot of my friends and people I know will not be attending this year.

I came back from Castle Point Anime Con as I remembered it 2 years ago its still a small event. It is growing for a college con and I hope it does well. Next week is the D.C. Sakura Matsuri have to fix up my costume a lot before I wear it! ;.;

So I got the day off to attend Castle Point this year! Not sure who is going to be joining me on this trip but I would like to go with a group. It is located in Hoboken N.J. so I will also be making a trip to a particular bakery in the area! <3

I headed out to the city very early Saturday morning so I can be there when it opened. The event did not run long so I wanted to experience the whole day. I arrived just when the doors opened, now there "Its sold out" rule did NOT pertain to this year again. Mind you this is a FREE event to attend so theres no need for it to complain about... its run by the schools anime club. They just asked for my age and gave me an 18 and older wristband. I could have just lied and said I was older then 18 to attend the adult events... It only took me 30 mins to check out the whole shindig. I will admit it is growing and they are obtaining more rooms every year so I give that a plus. In the dealers room/ artist alley I saw Mei Hoshi and TheBigTog. I chilled with them for a little bit then Anthony and Jeff finally arrived. I changed into costume by this point.

We finally all met up and we wanted to check out the events. We went to a couple of panels but honestly they werent that good and it seems like when we did walk into a panel room we walked in at the very end. We decided at this point we didnt want to cover really anything cause it was a what you see is what you get. So vidgle took a break from covering most of the event. Apparently Snekos concert and the springfest got talent show was at the same time. So I met up with Sneko and her boyfriend to say my hellos and that good stuff and ran off to the talent show. The talent show started kinda late... Not that many people wanted to perform so I volunteered myself to sing on stage just to do something. I think this is the first event Ive been to where the audience was the rudest kids I ever seen in my life. Talking and bullcraping through EVERYONES performance... does no one have manners anymore? Seriously some people have stage fright so its hard to here some of the people.... big no no in my book. Maybe the people running it didnt really have good control of audience skills to tell the people to shut the hell up... Anthony forced signed everyone to do a vidgle group performance... which was them trolling the audience till they got kicked off the stage. It was running late so they couldnt tell the people who won the contest...

Next event was the costume contest the last event was running late so they started late as well. They were waiting on staff for tables and chairs for the judges. Then they were waiting on to see if more people would sign up. 30 mins later the show finally started this costume contest was not run by the con itself but sponcered by Astor Cos magazine (Honestly I never heard of this till today.) Its a new upcoming cosplay magazine hitting store shelves soon (Or is). I believe we covered the contest on film not sure if he stopped filming. It was first single entries then group entries. Im kinda sad female Loki from Thor didnt win an award maybe cause they dont know the character?But the contest was an open contest so anything in costume can enter and win. It looked like winners won by crowd reaction. Master Chief was for singles division and the Arkam City group won for best group. Both none anime/japanese stuff rofl! XD

After the costume contest I convinced Anthony for us todo some coverage before we left. So we interviewed the really awesome Captain America cosplayer. Then interviewed one of the guests which was Sneko. After those 2 interviews me,Jeff and Erik did a con wrap up of our views of the event and if we would suggest people to go back.

Next event I will be hitting up.... well this weekend was suppose to be TAKII but that was canceled again. Next weekend is Tekkoshocon but it looks like I wont be attending this con. So I have no idea how my con schedule will be for this month. x.x

SpringfestNY is slowly approching (Its already next week.) and doing some update work on the cosplay I plan to bring. I plan on bringing back Relm for another go, it seems a lot of people always like that cosplay and catches a lot of people attention. Also its easy to transport as I will be taking the bus over to the city. So easy costume to stuff in a bookbag and its an easy costume to put on, only the makeup takes time to apply. I will be attending this with the press group I am a part of "Vidgle" along with Anthony and Jeff, so I will be getting a chance to interview people and the guests.

I also found out I got accepted into the D.C. Sakura Matsuri Cosplay fashion show. Normally I would announce the costume I am wearing for it but now they are making it a contest, free badges to AUSA for the winner. So I am keeping it secret even though I know I have a chance of not winning with what I submitted. (They announced the prize after the fact. If I had known I would have submitted something flashier to present.) I haven't figured out if I need a place to stay or if I am going to make this a one day trip and take the Chinatown bus on my own and round trip it. But I want to chill with my buddies down there! x.x

Oh and a heads up to my friends if you want me to join in any cosplay groups or whatever. Let me know now! It seems people are slowly wanting me for stuff and its easier to plan a head of time! My Anime next cosplay list is booked. And so is my Otakon.... Put your orders in now if you need me for anything!

Man this was an insane ride! I had planned about a bazillion costumes for this con and in the end only brought out 2 costumes. Deedlit from Record of Lodoss War and Child Link from Ocarina of Time. I was also staffing karaoke for this con, really wish karaoke was a bigger event at this con only have it for so little hours is not fun.

Deedlit didnt become as amazing as I planned the armour in the end did not work so I just wore the green dress.  It was my first time with working with leather. So lesson learned there! :[

I am very proud of my Child Link costumemade everything and some props! For making my props out of posterboard is not bad I must say so myself! Will post pics when I recieve them or when I am done editing them. The Legend of Zelda skit I was invited into we won Best in show! Everyone did such a great job, and so grateful everyone dealt with my goofyness. I miss everyone I got to chill with I would name people but I know WAY too many people and you guys know who you are and who I love! <3

Next event I will be hitting up is SpringFEST NY! So if you wanna plan anything with me for that let me know. As of now I plan on going on my own but if anyone wants to travel with me let me know.

So the next con I will be hitting up is Katsucon. I will be working on 5 costumes and most of it will have some costumes that will have a lot of detail work which I hardly do and working on new materials for the first time. So I am crossing my fingers that they all come out good. And I am also going to be in the masquerade with a bunch of friends. I will be watching WCS to support a bunch of friends!

I am back from Ohayocon... I have  no words for this con. I did get to room with my buddies Daniela and Cristine, I think this is the first time in 11 years of conning I roomed with more girls then guys! Cant wait to see my photos from Lionel. It was great seeing my friends and homies at the con. But now I have to work on a billion costumes for Katsucon!

Its hard for me to get on D.A. lately as I still dont have my computer back. I did attend Spring FEST NY 2011. I cosplayed as Splash woman and remember to bring my actual gloves. Also tighten the helmet so it dosent stick out as much. My group got there at 6pm so we missed the costume contest. I arrived when they announced the winners. But I did manage to get a crap load of pics taken of me for the 4 hours I wore the costume, and a lot of people knew who I was! x.x Everything was basically over when we got there. We got to watch some chiptunes concert that was good. (I guess I am spoiled from Magfest concerts. XD)

Next event I am hitting up is the D.C. Cherry Blossom Festival! I will be in the Fashion Show and might attend the cosplay contest. I signed up for it but I dont know if that will conflict with time? I will be wearing Splash Woman to that with the trident and upgraded parts to the outfit. Hope to see you guys there!

So I took away Zenkaikon and Tekkoshocon. But I will be going to the D.C. Sakura Matsuri! Boyfriend got injured really badly at work and he needs me to help him in this time of need. This Saturday though I will be going to Manhatten for spandex shopping at Spandex House. After fabric shopping will be hitting up Spring FEST NY, its a one day free con.

Holy crap a lot was happened at Katsu! Friday I did some ACP stuff. Helped with the Eden of the East games and promoted the movie. After that changed into Miki from Chrono Cross with the rest of the girls in the group. Got some lovely pictures. Then headed for skit practice where I was needed as a stage ninja. After skit practice I hung out with peoples for drinking times, and patched things up(?) with an old friend. Didnt go to bed till 5-6am?

Saturday had to wake up ass early for skit practice. Right after rushed to do more ACP stuff. I had my Panty cosplay under it so when I was done with ACP stuff didnt have to run back to the hotel room. Apparently I was making my hints too hard for the people to find me. But I didnt have a good amount of people find me all 3 days. Wore Panty for a little while then had to change into stage ninja outfit. Masquerade was really short a lot of skits dropped big time. I like about 5 of the entries that competed. Our group won a judges award. ^_^ After skit times I hung out with people then headed to my room for comfy clothes. Went back out to chill with peoples again. Ate peoples chinese left overs which was yummy. Went to bed about 3-4 am?

Sunday my group went to the pool area and hopped in the jacuzzi. One of the people in my group entered chess and his side won. I did some ACP stuff for the last time which everyone was rushing cause it was the last day. I entered the Karaoke Idol contest, didnt win anything but it was still a fun experience. ^_^ It was my first time singing a song with out the singer, so it was really hard for me. I think I did a good job and some people came up to me and said I did a good job. Next year I will try again and know what to expect and do my best!

So I am getting ready for Katsucon as I am making a bunch of costumes for people. Because this I am only making myself 2 costumes for the con. Miki from Chrono Cross and Panty from Panty and Stocking. I am going to be doing some booth work, photoshoots, and enter the Karaoke Idol contest. Want to hang out? Just let me know! ^_^

My computer died so I have been using Xais's computer in the meantime. So dont expect me to be on AIM any time soon till I get a new computer. (He also dosen't even like me on D.A. as is :[ )

Ugh so I saw someone from a distance that I wish I could have just held and confess some things that are bottled up inside me. I cared about this person a lot in the past. But I have moved on and care for someone else. Its not that I have a crush or feelings for them again, I just wish I could talk to them is all. I hate having to push people aside especially someone I cared about. I know talking to you would cause problems again and things are finally settling down. I know this is the only place on the internet I didn't block you on and I know you watch me on here still. <.<

So I guess my break for cosplay came much faster then expected. It dosen't help I am trying to form a Megaman villians group and I am making a lot of the peoples outfits in it including myself. So I started buying the materials for it yesterday.
